EscrowPK Workflow, Step 9: Requesting a Change to an Active Deal

By the EscrowPK Team · 2026-07-29 · 5 min read

Not every deal stays exactly as it was first agreed — an amount might need adjusting, or a delivery detail might change mid-way through. This is Step 9 of our EscrowPK workflow series: how changes to an active deal actually get made, safely.

Can I just change the deal details myself?

No — and that's deliberate. Either party can submit a change request, but nothing is applied unilaterally. The other side has to review and approve it before anything about the deal actually changes.

What happens after a change request is submitted?

The counterparty is notified and has a limited window — 12 hours — to approve or reject it. If they approve, EscrowPK automatically recalculates any affected fees or amounts and applies the change; if they don't respond in time, the request simply expires and the original terms stand.

What kinds of changes go through this process?

Adjustments like the agreed amount or delivery details go through change requests — while sensitive identity fields like the seller's registered email and phone can't be altered this way, precisely because they're tied to who the verified counterparty actually is.

Change requests keep a deal flexible without ever letting one side unilaterally rewrite the agreement. If a deal needs adjusting, use the Request Changes option from your deal page on EscrowPK.com.
