Know Your Customer (KYC) Policy

The identity verification EscrowPK requires before a user can deposit funds into escrow or receive funds released or refunded from a deal.
1. Purpose
This Know Your Customer (KYC) Policy explains the identity verification EscrowPK requires from users, in support of the eligibility and verification requirements in Section 4 of the Terms & Conditions and our AML Policy.
2. Who Must Verify
Every user who wishes to create a deal, deposit funds into escrow, or receive funds released or refunded from a deal must complete identity verification. Browsing the platform does not require verification.
3. Information Required
A valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) number.
Clear images of the front and back of the CNIC.
A verified mobile phone number and email address.
For business accounts, additional business registration details may be required.
4. Verification Process
Submitted CNIC details and images are reviewed to confirm they are genuine, legible, and match the name and details provided at registration. EscrowPK may request a resubmission if images are unclear or details do not match.
Accounts that fail verification, or where submitted documents appear altered or fraudulent, will not be permitted to transact and may be suspended.
5. Ongoing Verification
EscrowPK may request re-verification or additional documentation at any time, including for unusually large transactions, a change in account details, or activity flagged under our AML Policy.
6. Data Handling
CNIC images and identity data submitted for KYC are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, stored securely, access-restricted, and retained for the period required by applicable recordkeeping law.
7. Consequences of Non-Verification
Users who do not complete or pass KYC verification cannot deposit funds into escrow or receive funds released or refunded from a deal. Existing verified users whose information can no longer be confirmed may have transacting privileges suspended until re-verified.
